Abstract: This protocol describes the procedure to obtain MALDI mass spectrometry images of lipids using a high mass resolution FTICR. This protocol is optimized for 12 µm sections of agarose-inflated and carboxymethyl cellulose-embedded fresh-frozen lung tissues.
