Nanostructured Transition Metal Aluminum Nitride Thin Films for High Damage Tolerance and Reflective Optics
Year: 2025
Type: book
Abstract: The background is a gradient of colors from pictures of Hf1-xAlxNy films of varying composition.Around the spine is an image of a colored z-contrast scanning transmission electron micrograph of a TiN/Zr0.37Al0.63N1.09multilayer.The "snowman" on the front page is contours of a reciprocal space map around the 400 peaks from an epitaxial Hf0.76Al0.24N1.15thin film on MgO(001).The columns on the backside are SEM micrographs of compressed micropillars from HfN1.22, ~3% up to ~50% strain.
