Clinician and patient perspectives on implementation of a remote interpretation model of reflectance confocal microscopy for skin cancer diagnosis: a qualitative study using an acceptability framework
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Remote interpretation of cutaneous/reflectance confocal microscopy (RCM) is an innovative and acceptable means to increase access to the noninvasive diagnostic technology; however, implementation and acceptability is reliant on several key factors. These are the ability of remote RCM to generate meaningful data for remote interpretation, technological connectivity, cultural and infrastructure supports, and individual capabilities and motivation to use the innovation.
