Abstract: This study aims to shed light on the concept of misandry in selected novels by Octavia E Butler and Margaret Atwood. Several previous studies dealt with the concept of misogyny in detail and depth, so it became necessary to present a different point of view. This study reached the following results, analysing the female and male characters to accurately determine the concept of misandry. This study gives a different model of female novelists’ novels to inform the reader of the existence of two sides of female writers, and the novelist Suanne Laqueur was taken as a counter example to the point of view of Octavia E Butler and Margaret Atwood by introducing the idea of violence against men.
