First Record and a New Species Description of Water-Penny Beetle (Jaechanax: Psephenidae: Coleoptera) from India

Abstract: A new psephenid species of the water penny beetle genus Jaechanax Lee, Sato and Yang, 2000, J. kuranganiensis sp. nov., is described from India and compared to its most similar species. The new species represents the first record of the genus from Tamil Nadu province, India.
