Abstract: Setor Aeroporto is a traditional neighborhood in the city of Goiania (state of Goias, Brazil). Many changes brought mischaracterization to Setor Aeroporto territory, which made necessary to take a careful look about this neighborhood history. This paper aims to identify historical reminiscences of Setor Aeroporto through traces in its urban spaces. The reminiscences, perceived based on Walter Benjamin's (1994) concept, were identified and related to urban and heritage context, showing themselves as a possible way to preserve history. The studies were developed based on a bibliographic and iconographic review about the neighborhood, in addition to an urban analysis through ethnography and a walk exercise, which, through the connection between researcher and subject, allowed an intimate view, hearing, and experience of the society established there.
