Revista Ser Humanxs: una experiencia pedagógica sobre aprender a hacer

Abstract: The general objective of this document is to present a collaborative educational experience, which is based on the principles of constructivism and competency-based teaching. Through the active methodology, during the semesters 2023-1, 2023-2 and 2024-1, the students of the elective subject "Editorial Production" of the Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences of the Autonomous University of Baja California, create the student magazine Ser Humanxs. In this process of learning to do (which is divided into two phases, a conceptual and a practical), students assume the leading role in all stages of the editorial process, while the teacher acts as a mediator. Through the teaching-learning model in a real space and with meaningful experiences, as a result, students develop skills to build knowledge, effectively integrating theory and practice for the creation of a communication product. In addition, they recognize themselves as part of a dynamic community and acquire useful tools for their future working life.
