Abstract: The article deals with performance in conducting from the point of view of the role of the emotional component and the transformation of the conducting gesture into an "action-experience". Such a transformation can occur on the basis of compliance with the regularities of the processes that every student of this kind of art encounters: 1) coordination of gestures; 2) the action of attention – external and internal; 3) reflection of musical emotions in the sound; 4) self-control; 5) conditions of expediency (p.
