Abstract: Revision of the Compact Procedure Psychological Burden for risk assessment of mental workload Employers in Germany have to carry out an assessment of workplaces with regard to potential hazards for employees including mental stress factors. There exist various options for the operational procedure, each with its own advantages and disadvantages depending on the method used. The Compact Procedure Psychological Burden is a condition related instrument that allows users in particular to identify factors of mental workload in the workplace, assess the resulting hazards in terms of stress and strain and derive appropriate occupational health and safety measures. The procedure, which is designed as an observational interview, allows the user to use examples and design tips for a phased approach with prioritization options for the measures to be implemented. Current research findings and the state of the art as described in DIN EN ISO 10075-2:2023 were taken into account in the further development of the Compact Procedure Psychological Burden in 2024.
