Assessing the impact of changes in home location on adolescent lung function: An exposome-wide natural experiment
Year: 2025
Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: Graphical abstract : Overview of the study population and design. We included all children with lung function data at the 8-year and 16-year follow up. Changes in three domains of the urban exposome were evaluated at the time of lung function measurement. • Applied an exposome framework to assess environmental changes and the impact on adolescent lung function. • Relocation to more built-up areas was associated with reduced lung function. • Findings underscore the importance of urban planning for respiratory health.
