Draft genome sequences of human adenovirus F associated with acute gastroenteritis in Blantyre, Malawi

Abstract: Human adenovirus F (HAdV-F), genotype 40/41, ranks as the second leading cause of pediatric viral gastroenteritis globally. Here, we report four draft genomes of HAdV-F from Malawi, obtained from children with acute gastroenteritis at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital and Bangwe Health Centre, Blantyre, between 2012 and 2024.
