Abstract: /Key Points A novel human olfactory epithelial organoid model has been generated from primary cell culture. Human olfactory organoids exhibit immunostaining and gene expression for olfactory cells. Olfactory organoids mobilize Ca 2+ in response to odorants, a surrogate for neuronal function.
