Efficient information support in LEO SCNs: A multi-layer spatiotemporal cost model and dynamic reallocation algorithm
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: To achieve global coverage and massive access in the 6G era, space-air-ground integrated network architectures are essential, with Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite constellations serving as a key enabler due to their wide-area coverage and autonomous inter-satellite link (ISL) networks. However, the high mobility, dynamic topology, and uneven resource distribution in LEO networks pose significant challenges to service continuity, efficient scheduling, and resource utilization. This paper proposes an innovative multi-layer spatiotemporal cost modeling approach that transforms complex network dynamics into flow and time constraints. Based on this model, a path-based routing (PBR) algorithm with a feedback control mechanism is designed to enable dynamic data scheduling over ISLs. Simulation results on the Globalstar-2, Iridium Next, and Telesat constellations demonstrate that the proposed method improves network throughput by 300\%, reduces latency by 50\%, and increases mission completion rates by 20\%, significantly enhancing inter-satellite resource efficiency.
