Confirmed Presence of Acrossus Rufipes (linnaeus, 1758) in Sardinia, Italy (coleoptera Scarabaeidae Aphodiinae Aphodiini)

Abstract: The occurence of Acrossus rufipes (Linnaeus, 1758) in Sardinia is confirmed based on two specimens collected in the Sette Fratelli mountain area (South-Eastern Sardinia). The presence of this species on the island was pre- viously considered doubtful, although it was reported in historical literature and corroborated only by a few finds from the early 20th century. Key Words: New faunistic record, Sardinia, dung beetle, woodland environment.
