Abstract: In this talk we review recent results for spin-dependent parton distribution functions extracted in global QCD analysis of high energy scattering data by the JAM collaboration, including inclusive and semi-inclusive deep-inelastic scattering, jet and weak boson production in polarised hadron-hadron collisions. In particular, we focus on the determination of the gluon polarisation in the proton, whose sign and magnitude have been the subject of debate recently.
