Abstract: Air Pollution is a growing cause of concern for humanity, with communities around the world suffering due to compromised air quality. This study intends to monitor air quality trends of NY County also known as the Big Apple, which is the cultural capital of the modern world. We wish to investigate and analyze the trends of air pollution and draw inferences for this historic city. The study endeavours to analyze and reflect on the data collected in the years of 2015 - 2024, and to look deeply into the concentration and effects of different air pollution such PM₂.₅ and O₃. We hypothesize that air quality in this quaint part of New York has declined as a result of the pressures of urbanization and traffic. To test our hypothesis, we used the secondary data from EPA, NJDEP and AirNow using Excel and Python.
