Abstract: This article aims to understand how the concepts of public image, trust, and legitimacy have been operationalized in empirical research over the last ten years (2013-2023) on the Brazilian Judiciary. Specifically, the aim is to: a) identify the mobilization of the concepts; b) understand the position occupied (central or secondary) by concepts in these articles that deal with the area. For that, a systematic survey of the literature was carried out with subsequent content analysis of the results found. The results suggested little depth in the concepts of public image and trust, with legitimacy being the most central of the three. Even so, there was not a substantial number of studies that detailed the construction of the concepts, demonstrating a gap in studies in the area.
