Does shoe cushioning space affect patellofemoral pain risk? A study based on the integrated finite element model
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: < 0.001). Earlier activation of vastus lateralis (VL) relative to vastus medialis (VM) in the TF group contributed to greater lateral patellar displacement and higher Von-Mises stresses in the lateral patella. TF shoes may cause abnormal patellar tracking, elevating the likelihood of PFPS. This study may offer new insights into basketball footwear selection and theoretical support for reducing the risk of PFPS.
