Abstract: Single-crystal to single-crystal reaction of [LAu(C 2 H 4 /CO)][BAr F 4 ] [L = tris-2-(4,4′-di- tert -butylbiphenyl)phosphine] with NH 3 or 15 NH 3 gives [LAu(NH 3 / 15 NH 3 )][BAr F 4 ] which undergo H/D exchange with D 2 O vapour, via a proposed proton rebound mechanism.
