The mechanism of energy accumulation in dynamic pulses traveling through checkerboard material assembly in space-time

Type: article
Abstract: In this paper there is an analytic derivation of the mechanism of energy concentration in dynamic pulses traveling through a checkerboard material assembly in space-time. The analysis discloses a focusing of wave routes into progressively sharpening pulses arising as analogues of limit cycles supported by properly controlled checkerboard type material pattern in space-time. The main goal of the paper is a specification of control pattern providing a progressive monotone accumulation of energy within sharpening pulses at special moment of their travel through the checkerboard structure. This process is in some sense optimal due to its monotonicity and the absence of moments of energy loss.
