Abstract: The article is devoted to the analysis of modern topical problems of the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the context of global and regional challenges. The key factors hindering sustainable economic development are considered, including high unemployment, inflationary processes, poverty, corruption and the shadow economy. Special attention is paid to improving the investment climate, developing the high-tech sector and overcoming inequality. Based on the analysis of the current situation and statistical data, recommendations are proposed for the modernization of economic policy aimed at ensuring stable growth and improving the standard of living of the population. The article is of interest to researchers, economists, and government officials involved in economic development in post-Soviet countries.
