Abstract: This research examines the role of cultural diplomacy in fostering international relations and promoting sustainable development through the lens of cultural institutions, such as museums. By integrating cultural and public diplomacy with tourism, this study examines their collective impact on global peace and understanding. Museums, recognised as pivotal platforms for cultural diplomacy, provide unique opportunities for cross-cultural exchange and education, thereby enhancing international understanding through their exhibits. The methodology combines a comprehensive literature review with detailed case studies of museum exhibitions to uncover both theoretical insights and practical implementations of cultural diplomacy. This dual approach enables a thorough examination of how museums not only preserve cultural heritage but also actively engage in international dialogue, shaping cultural perceptions and promoting global cooperation. The findings aim to provide policymakers and cultural institutions with actionable insights, emphasising the strategic use of cultural assets to foster global peace and sustainability. Through its focus on the role of museums in cultural diplomacy, the study contributes to a deeper understanding of their potential in shaping international relations. It highlights the importance of cultural exchange within the global diplomatic framework. This research highlights the evolving role of cultural diplomacy in contemporary international relations and its significance in promoting global cooperation and understanding.
