Digital Precision Workflow For Full-Arch Implant Rehabilitation

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Introduction This investigation establishes a customized implant prosthetic protocol for edentulous patients with heterogeneous clinical presentations based on a fully digitalized diagnostic and therapeutic system, aiming to achieve synergistically optimized outcomes in both functional rehabilitation and esthetic restoration. Case description This study establishes a multimodal data-integrated full-arch implant restoration system by synergizing oral implant fiducial markers, digital surgical guides, intraoral scanning, 3D facial scanning, and electronic facebow technologies. Utilizing fiducial markers to achieve high-precision spatial registration between jawbone imaging and intraoral scan data, the system constructs a three-dimensional virtual patient model incorporating anatomical structures, occlusal function, and aesthetic parameters through dynamic occlusal recordings and facial biometric integration. The surgical guides, fabricated via composite manufacturing processes, integrate navigation and occlusal positioning devices, significantly enhancing the precision of implant placement. This system enables precise implant placement, occlusal reconstruction, and aesthetic restoration. Discussion Comprehensive clinical follow-up and radiographic evaluations confirmed successful osseointegration in all patients postoperatively, with the establishment of stable occlusal relationships and attainment of anticipated aesthetic outcomes. Conclusion/clinical significance The system achieves full-process control from anatomical restoration, functional reconstruction to aesthetic rehabilitation through a technical closed-loop of "data acquisition - virtual planning - precise execution". Its core value lies in transforming traditional experience-dependent operations into data-driven precision medicine.
