Abstract: This case report presents the innovative use of digital technology in the rehabilitation with a congenital cleft palate and multiple missing teeth. The case highlights the importance of advanced digital techniques in achieving functional and aesthetic outcomes in complex craniofacial defects. A 23-year-old female patient presented with a history of cleft palate surgery, complicated by wound dehiscence and multiple missing teeth due to caries. Clinical examination revealed a large mid-palatal defect, oronasal communication, and compromised velopharyngeal closure. A comprehensive treatment plan was developed, including orthognathic surgery, extraction of an impacted tooth, and implant-supported prostheses. Digital technology was utilized to enhance precision and outcomes. The process involved 3D scanning of the oral cavity, followed by virtual design and additive manufacturing of a custom silicone obturator and double dentition prosthesis. The silicone obturator provided effective closure of the palatal defect, enhancing speech and swallowing functions. The double dentition restoration improved occlusal relationships and vertical dimension. This case demonstrates the advantages of digital rehabilitation in managing complex craniofacial defects, offering a reliable and efficient alternative to traditional methods. This case underscores the potential of digital technology in the rehabilitation of cleft palate patients. The integration of 3D scanning, virtual design, and additive manufacturing can significantly enhance the precision, efficiency, and outcomes of complex dental and craniofacial reconstructions. The findings suggest that digital rehabilitation techniques should be considered in similar cases to improve patient care and treatment efficacy.
