Balancing Economic Growth and Environmental Conservation in Sustainable Industrial Development
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The impact of industrial development on environmental sustainability has become a pressing concern. This paper examines the relationship between economic growth, technological innovation, and environmental degradation in industrial expansion. While industrialization drives economic progress, it has led to environmental challenges like increased emissions, pollution, and resource depletion. The study aims to identify challenges and opportunities in transitioning towards environmentally friendly industrial practices for future generations. Literature suggests that cleaner production technologies, circular economy principles, and renewable energy investments can help mitigate environmental impacts of industrial growth. However, achieving this balance requires changes in business models and corporate governance, along with collaboration between governments, industries, and research institutions. The paper concludes that sustainable industrial development is crucial for economic growth while safeguarding ecosystems and improving quality of life. Further research is needed to understand the relationships between industrial growth and environmental sustainability across contexts.
