Abstract: The acceleration of globalization has transformed the dynamics of organizational competitiveness, placing human resource management at the forefront of strategic decision-making. Central to this transformation is the concept of global talent management, which addresses the critical processes of attracting, developing, and retaining talent across increasingly interconnected markets. This paper explores global talent management as a response to the challenges posed by globalization, shifting demographics, and persistent demand-supply imbalances in the global workforce. Drawing on existing literature, three major drivers of global talent management are examined: talent flows, demographic shifts, and workforce shortages. The discussion emphasizes the strategic need for human resource management to adapt its frameworks, aligning global practices with local realities while ensuring resilience against unforeseen disruptions. The paper concludes by highlighting global talent management's role as a key lever for longterm organizational sustainability and as a promising field for future scholarly inquiry.
