Abstract: Highly pathogenic avian influenza virus (H5N1) continues to cause substantial losses in the poultry industry of Bangladesh, with ongoing genetic evolution. This report presents the complete genome sequence of an H5N1 subtype of avian influenza A virus isolated from a recent outbreak on a commercial layer chicken farm in Bangladesh.
