Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: The study objective is to find the current gap in the literature by investigating the feedback-seeking behaviour as a mediator between predictor goal orientation and employee productivity among Pakistani employees working in the corporate sector of Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. The study comprised a correlational correlation research design and a purposive sampling technique. The inclusion criteria comprised employees working in the corporate sector of the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan only, with at least the age of 19 years, must possess a qualification of at least Matric or O Level, and must have at least one year of experience working in the corporate sector. The study comprised the instruments for measuring study variables, i.e., the Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ), the Learning and Performance Goal Orientation Scale, and the Feedback-Seeking Behaviour Scale. The Pearson product correlation depicts a significant relationship among study variables, i.e., goal orientation, feedback-seeking behaviour, and employee productivity. The mediation analysis using Hayes Process Macro 4.2 (Model 4) revealed a partial mediating effect of feedback-seeking behaviour. The study provided comprehensive implications for the organizations and employees in the end.
