Abstract: Conventionally, hand files were used for shaping primary teeth; however, this method had several drawbacks. These included increased treatment time and a higher risk of iatrogenic errors such as canal transportation, zipping, and lateral perforations.2 IntroductIonIn pediatric dentistry, where natural teeth are considered to be the best space maintainers, an infected primary tooth that causes space loss is a major issue. 1 So, preserving primary teeth with extensive caries in the dental arch is of utmost importance for functions such as esthetics, mastication, and phonation.Root canal treatment in primary teeth is often complex and time-consuming due to their complex and highly curved canal morphology, close proximity to the developing permanent tooth bud, and the additional challenges posed by pediatric behavior management. 2 The success of a pulpectomy is dependent on precise diagnosis, thorough biomechanical preparation, and optimal obturation of the root canals.3 Biomechanical preparation is the most vital phase of pediatric pulpectomy, involving both mechanical and chemical cleaning to thoroughly remove necrotic pulp tissue, microbial contaminants, and debris. This phase is designed to establish a clean and unobstructed path that allows irrigants to penetrate deeply into the apical third of the canal, enhancing the removal of debris and biofilm, and ensuring comprehensive disinfection.Additionally, it facilitates the proper shaping of the canal to accommodate and retain the obturating material, ultimately promoting a successful endodontic outcome.3
