Abstract: • NIR-to-visible frequency converter using dual nanodisk metasurface arrays. • Investigating the effect of single/simultaneous BIC excitation on resonance quality. • Investigating BIC-based resonance tuning in linear and nonlinear optical respons. In this paper, a perovskite metasurface composed of two nanodisk arrays engineered to enhance third harmonic generation (THG) is presented. By simultaneously exciting symmetry-protected and accidental-quasi bound states in the continuum (SP-qBIC and AC-qBIC), the nonlinear optical response is significantly improved, facilitating efficient near-infrared (NIR) to visible frequency conversion. Structural symmetry breaking introduces a magnetic dipole-dominant resonant mode, while the integration of a gold mirror layer produces a magnetic toroidal dipole-dominant resonance at the fundamental wavelength. These q-BIC modes possess high quality factors ( Q- factor), resulting in intense electric field confinement, which is a key factor for boosting THG and frequency conversion efficiency (FCE). A comprehensive analysis, including near and far field distributions, reflection spectra, stored electric energy, and multipole decomposition, evaluates the effects of resonance engineering on both linear and nonlinear behavior. The results demonstrate that with the simultaneous excitation of SP-qBIC and AC-qBIC, the FCE improves by 5.31 × 10 2 and 7.06 × 10 2 times compared to the unpatterned film, for the corresponding resonance peaks by Q- factor of 1012 and 2798, respectively. This dual-qBIC excitation and resonance engineering approach effectively manipulates light–matter interactions, offering a robust and tunable platform for compact nonlinear photonic devices operating across visible and infrared regimes.
