Abstract: • This meta-analysis demonstrated the efficacy and safety of body acupuncture and auricular acupressure, offering critical implications for clinical practice, health policy formulation, and future research directions. • The comprehensive inclusion of a substantial number of studies with large-scale sample sizes, combined with the adoption of novel outcome measures, significantly strengthens the reliability of the research findings.
