Abstract: Stanisław Srokowski was voivode of Volhynia from February 1923 to August 1924. In addition to political, social and economic matters, he was interested in the restoration of the former Dominican church in Czartorysk. The temple, converted into an Orthodox church in 1839 and ruined during the World War I, was recovered by the Catholic Church in 1920 or 1921; in 1924 Srokowski made efforts to obtain grants for it. As a result of the works carried out in the interwar period, the church was secured and largely rebuilt.
