Long-term safety and tolerability of frespaciguat: the INSIGNIA-PAH extension

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Extract Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a progressive, life-threatening disease requiring long-term management to prevent right ventricular failure and improve outcomes [1, 2]. Despite advancements in PAH vasodilator therapies targeting the endothelin, prostacyclin, and nitric oxide pathways, systemic side effects remain a challenge that often limit optimal dosing, particularly with use of combination regimens [3]. While inhaled options exist, frequent administration and systemic side effects pose challenges [4, 5].
