Implementation science and power: equity-oriented implementation science needs a power lens
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Implementation science offers valuable tools to close the gap between evidence and practice. Yet in global health, leading frameworks of implementation science often obscure the power dynamics that shape implementation processes and outcomes. Equity-oriented implementation science must place power at its centre. Without attention to who sets priorities, whose knowledge counts, and how decisions are contested, the field risks naturalising inequities.1,2
