Abstract: Von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) disease is a rare autosomal-dominant genetic disorder characterized by the development of multiple hemangioblastomas within the central nervous system. The anesthetic management of parturients with VHL is challenging, whether general or neuraxial anesthesia is used. Here, we report the case of a parturient with VHL whose cesarean section was successfully performed under general anesthesia. Anesthetic evaluation well in advance of delivery and the patient's fully informed choice were important for successful management.
