Abstract: Fusariosis is a severe fungal infection associated with high mortality rates and an increasing incidence. However, its treatment remains challenging due to the frequent resistance of Fusarium species to conventional antifungal therapies. Here, we describe a case of an immunocompetent patient with invasive disseminated fusariosis with multifocal abscess formation after major traumatic injury. We report a significant clinical improvement with clinically relevant reduction of abscesses without major treatment toxicity after treatment with fosmanogepix.
