The case of Botulinum toxin type A and depressed skin lesion: Case presentation, review of the literature, and definition proposal
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The injection of botulinum toxin A for the treatment of rhytidosis and upper face rejuvenation is a procedure that presents no major adverse effects. Nevertheless, the development of monolateral “morphea-like” lesions as a side effect has been seldom described. The first case of a bilateral skin lesion is presented, along with an expert curation of the available literature on the topic and a proposed definition.
