Application of ERCP Combined with Radiofrequency Ablation, Biliary Stenting, and Photodynamic Therapy in the Comprehensive Treatment of Hilar Cholangiocarcinoma: A Case Report and Literature Review

Abstract: Significance Discussing the application value of endoscopic comprehensive treatment with ERCP combined with SpyGlass, radiofrequency ablation (RFA), photodynamic therapy (PDT), and biliary stent placement (BS) in advanced cholangiocarcinoma. Approach A retrospective analysis of the clinical data of a cholangiocarcinoma patient admitted to the Department of Oncology at Lanzhou University Second Hospital in June 2023. Results The patient's various indicators have significantly improved, the tumor has shrunk, and their quality of life has been enhanced. Conclusions ERCP combined with balloon sweep, radiofrequency ablation, and photodynamic therapy (PDT) provides a new approach to endoscopic comprehensive treatment for patients with advanced cholangiocarcinoma, benefiting more patients with late-stage bile duct cancer.
