Abstract: A post-publication investigation conducted by Elsevier's Research Integrity & Publishing Ethics team on behalf of the journal discovered that the authors used the MGC-803 cell line for gastric cancer studies, which is reported to be contaminated and a HeLa derivative (https://www.cellosaurus.org/CVCL_5334). The data affected by the use of this cell line is in Figure 2A.
