Safe General Anesthesia in a Pediatric Patient With 1p36.33 Duplication Syndrome: A Rare Case Report
Year: 2025
Type: article
Study design: Case Report
Abstract: 1p36.33 Duplication Syndrome is an extremely rare autosomal dominant multi-gene disorder, including the disruption of the ATAD3 gene cluster, which encodes for mitochondrial membrane proteins. As of 2025, there is only one publicly available article highlighting the characteristic findings in patients with this condition; however, there is no existing data on safe anesthetic management. We present a case highlighting the successful and uneventful care of a pediatric patient with this condition.
