Abstract: Dental caries is a multifactorial disease brought on by the activity of bacterial biofilms exposed to fermentable carbohydrates over time. The occlusal surfaces of premolars and molars of primary and permanent teeth have pits and fissures. These abnormal deep pits and fissures present on the tooth's occlusal surface make brushing and mechanical cleaning challenging.Retention of plaque in deep fissures can cause dental caries. 1 Therefore, eliminating pits and fissures would stop cavities from forming.2,3 An economical and scientifically supported method of avoiding pit and fissure caries in children is the use of sealants. In young children and medically impaired patients, particularly those with a high risk of dental caries, pit and fissure sealants are frequently used to prevent caries formation in permanent molars.4 Sealants are categorized as filled and unfilled types.Helioseal F is a newly released filled sealant that comprises silane-treated amorphous silica as a filler particle of size 0.016 µm.Either Bis-GMA (Bisphenol A-glycidyl methacrylate) monomer or urethane monomer can be found in the resin content of sealants.Additionally, sealants can be tinted or transparent. The advantage of colored sealants is that it is easy to identify whether they are present or not on the tooth surface.Clinpro 3M ESPE is one such sealant that undergoes color variations during polymerization.5,6 Biocompatibility, sufficient bond strength, good marginal integrity, anticariogenicity, cost-effectiveness, resistance to abrasion are ideal properties of fissure sealer.7 Newly erupted first permanent molars are particularly vulnerable to caries during the eruption phase, and since it is the
