Year: 2025
Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the determinants of lecturers' performance based on Catur Dharma at Muhammadiyah Higher Education Institutions ‎‎(PTM) in East Java, by examining the influence of intellectual capital, leadership effectiveness, and organizational communication, with ‎organizational support as a moderating variable. A quantitative approach using a survey method was applied to 189 permanent lecturers from 16 ‎PTMs. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results showed that all independent ‎variables significantly affect lecturer performance, with organizational communication being the most dominant factor. Organizational support ‎also showed a significant direct effect and acted as a moderator that strengthened the influence of leadership effectiveness and communication ‎on performance. However, it weakened the effect of intellectual capital. This study highlights the importance of synergy between individual ‎capacity, institutional support, and effective communication in improving lecturer performance and emphasizes the need to integrate Islamic and ‎Muhammadiyah values into a contextual performance evaluation system within PTMs‎.
