The genome sequence of a flea beetle, Longitarsus flavicornis (Stephens, 1831) (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae)
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: We present a genome assembly from an individual female Longitarsus flavicornis (flea beetle; Arthropoda; Insecta; Coleoptera; Chrysomelidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 1 128.25 megabases and 1 045.44 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (90.89%) is scaffolded into 16 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the B and X chromosomes. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 17.47 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
