SimViz: Interactive visualizations to analyze similarity measures

Abstract: In Artificial Intelligence, similarity measures constitute a fundamental component across numerous methods and techniques. They play a particularly critical role in the retrieval process of Case-based Reasoning systems, where the quality of similarity assessment directly impacts system performance. Understanding and evaluating the behavior and suitability of these measures across different application scenarios is therefore essential. In this work, we present SimViz, an interactive visualization tool designed to facilitate the comprehension of values, distribution, and calculation of potentially complex similarity measures.
