Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Based on social capital theory, we develop a framework to study the impact of alliance management capability on the business model innovation(BMI) of SMPEs and explore the moderating roles of technological turbulence and institutional pressures. The study empirically analyzed 286 platform enterprises data. Results of SEM indicated that inter-organizational coordination, alliance portfolio coordination, organizational learning, alliance initiative, and alliance transformation all positively affect platform enterprises' BMI, and technological turbulence and institutional pressure negatively moderated the relationship between alliance management capability and platform enterprises business model innovation.Findings from fsQCA show that there are four types of BMI development paths for SMPEs.
