Abstract: Conotrachelus Dejean 1835, is a highly diverse genus with a poorly studied taxonomy, making species differentiation difficult. Additionally, there is limited information on its geographical distribution, particularly for species that inhabit leaf litter. This study reports 46 new records of Conotrachelus lobatus Champion, 1904 and C. scoparius Champion, 1904 collected in oak forests in central Mexico. Regular bio diversity monitoring and reporting on new records are essential for creating effective conservation strategies.
