Abstract: The late Lonnie Snowden was a path-breaking community psychologist—prescient in recognizing an array of population groups who were underserved in their access to mental health services. Snowden was recognized nationally for distinguished and lifetime research contributions to the field of mental health service delivery, with the goal of eliminating such disparities and ensuring equitable treatment for all. An inspiring teacher and mentor to generations of students and colleagues at UC Berkeley and beyond, Snowden brought a curious mind, a generous spirit, and great creativity to the study of policy impact.
