231P Do large language models (LLMs) improve decision-making in clinical practice? A systematic review and meta-analysis
Year: 2025
Type: article
Study design: Systematic Review
Abstract: Rapid evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) and large language models (LLM) led to their increasing practical applications in medicine, particularly for diagnostic accuracy. LLMs showed strong performance in interpreting medical imaging and pathological data, as well as in answering medical exams questions. However, their ability to support clinical decision making outside testing environment remains uncertain. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to synthesize the available evidence on clinical decision-making, directly comparing LLMs with physicians.
