Abstract: Occupational therapy evaluations provide important information to address many key areas required in the formulation of a life care plan. The purpose of this article is to educate life care planners about the professional competencies of occupational therapists by reviewing the educational and licensing requirements of occupational therapists, their scope of practice, and clinical areas of expertise.
