Abstract: The purpose of this article is to provide a historical overview of both the Journal of Life Care Planning and the Foundation for Life Care Planning Research. The symbiotic relationship of these two entities has evolved to be a relevant and necessary part of the fabric of life care planning, both historically as well as in present times. The article will first provide a historical description of the Journal of Life Care Planning followed by a description of the Foundation for Life Care Planning Research.
